Useful information for teaching staff

Autism is a neurological condition which affects people to a varying degree on a spectrum, ranging from Classic Autism to Asperger's Syndrome (AS).

People with ASD often have difficulties in three main areas:

Language and Communication Social interaction Flexibility of thought. These difficulties are often unseen to others but can make the world very confusing and can mean that people with ASD cope with this by behaving in ways that others find difficult to understand.
